“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.” Philippians 4:11-14
As we get closer to Jesus Christ, He is the one who gives us strength to be content in all circumstances, no matter if we are sad, lonely, happy, joyous, angry, frustrated, overwhelmed, overjoyed, hungry, thirsty, poor, or rich. Are you content with your life right now? It doesn’t really matter your feelings or your circumstances. If you are not content, then you are not relying on the strength of Christ, because with Him, you will find true contentment in all circumstances.
Father God, Forgive us for the times when we are not content with the life that we have. There is so much to be thankful for. Help us to be closer to you and rely on your strength in all that we do and all that we are so that we can find true contentment in you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
