”A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown…” Proverbs 12:4
An excellent wife, or wife of noble character, becomes the shining, glorious crown of her husband. She gives her husband increased status, honor, and regal power because of her virtuous nature. She increases his social rank by displaying her high moral qualities including courage, generosity, and honor. She obtains favor from the Lord for her husband.

Noble character definition: (adjective) Possessing hereditary rank in a political system or social class derived from a feudalistic stage of a country’s development. : Having or showing qualities of high moral character, such as courage, generosity, or honor: a noble spirit. :Proceeding from or indicative of such a character; showing magnanimity: “What poor an instrument/May do a noble deed!” (Shakespeare). :Grand and stately in appearance; majestic.
The gift of a good wife is a treasure to be cherished. God asks a husband to treat his crown with the utmost love and care. One day, God will become a new crown for each and every one of His children, so practice treating the first crown well.
- “In that day the Lord Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people.” Isaiah 28:5
Are you a wife? If you are not following and obeying God’s Words, and relying on the Holy Spirit for your guidance, then the reverse will be true for not only yourself, but your husband also, as we finish the final words of Proverbs 12:4
