In the last days, it will be increasingly evident that people, in whole, will want to hear positive and loving messages and will not want to hear about their sins, turning from them, and taking up their cross to follow Christ. Many churches will cater to their self-needs.
“God, how can you please me?” not, “God, how can I please you?”
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,” 2 Timothy 4:3
“There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.” Proverbs 30:12
In order to be pure in the eyes of God, we must come to the foot of the cross, confess our sinfulness, turn to Jesus as our only means to be cleansed, and depend on Him to help us to remain pure.
